Went out on another trip with the 'POWER' Skipper Anthony. The 'POWER' is something that we had seen his showing in our last trip at the ICA point... ;D ;D ;D
The fantastic and fun group consisting of Alan, Jonathan, Kelvin, Chang, Adrian, Ron and the solid orgie Andrew. Had our breakfast meetup at Punggol before setting off onboard Swift Lady before 0900hrs. blessed with good weather and calm water.
Morning was a bit slow,
....but afternoon, we had a Tusky/ Wrasse (aka 'Parrot') frenzy,...lokh jiak...lokh jiak.. mainly for those in the middle of the boat , not big, with the few larger ones just below 2kg and the rest being dinning plate size.
Anthony...yet again...and again,...and again,...and again.... "Old ginger is always hotter", this goes for him too!
It was then quiet after about an hour, and only until just before evening, we're in for another round of lokh jiak...lokh Jiak...with Golden Stripeys, and other coral fishes, still much are of palatable larger than palm size.
Night was rather quiet, until we came to a wreck, where Skipper landed a 20kg (+/-) Murtabak, a grouper of approx. 2kg and a Kechi of just below 2kg?
The first storm arrived, and Skipper Anthony made a very good decision to head back towards Singapore at about 0130hrs. heard later the 2nd storm was very bad, much worse than the first.
Nothing much was caught before dawn, and where had all the Fingermark Snappers gone? Not even one was caught!!!
... till about 0800hrs on Sunday, where we were greeted with the third lokh jiak...lokh Jiak...ALL FINGERMARKS!!!! ..there were 12 or more pcs. all mainly about 1kg +/- range, the biggest about 2kg.
At this point Alan had landed a rather seldom seen Black Kechi..
Well, after saying that, the trip had come to a conclusion!
With Alan being the most 'effective' angler with at least 1 hit for each of the spot we had stopped. Chang being the Angler for the Biggest Kechi and Grouper, Skipper Anthony with the largest Murtabak and not mentioning about Ron with the largest Shengirri!!!
Anthony cutting up the Murtabak...
Andrew Pasar malam'ing the catches...
* This is stitched from 3 pix, in case anyone is wondering why some fish look odd, those are the stitch lines...
And the group....
